Duke of Edinburgh’s Award

The Duke of Edinburgh’s Award is for young people aged 14 to 25 years of age.

The Duke of Edinburgh’s Award allows young people aged 14 to 25 to take part in exciting and enjoyable activities that can lead to a bronze, silver or gold award.

Each award has these sections:

  • volunteering
  • physical activity
  • developing a skill
  • going on an expedition
  • taking part in a residential activity (for Gold award only)

You can learn new skills, try new activities and help your community while working for this award that colleges, universities and employers value.

You might even be doing an activity already that will count towards an award. There are exciting opportunities to make new friends improve your self-esteem and confidence while having fun.

Award groups are run in many locations including schools, colleges and community centres.

Why not get in touch and find out if there is a Duke of Edinburgh’s Award group near you.
