Getting a Housing Offer

When you are matched to a suitable property, your Housing Advisor will contact you and make you an offer. If you refuse two reasonable offers of housing, your application could be suspended for three months. You will be offered a further Housing Options Interview to ensure your preferences are updated to help prevent a further unsuitable offer.

If you are interested in viewing the property, a date and time will be agreed to decide if you wish to accept this offer. The property may be available to view right away or sometimes there can be a wait between the offer being made and you being able to view the house. Your Housing Advisor will keep you updated.

When you have viewed and agreed to accept your offer of housing, your Housing Advisor will arrange for you to sign paperwork and start your tenancy. You will be given a Tenant Information Pack which gives you important information about your tenancy, the services we provide and your rights and responsibilities as a tenant.

There is also financial support which may be available to you including Universal Credit, Council Tax reduction and making an application to Scottish Welfare Fund for grants available to help furnish your home, etc.

You will be supported by housing staff throughout the process and they are available to answer any questions you may have
