Discussing your Housing Options

You will be invited to attend a housing options interview to fully discuss your application with a Housing Advisor. You can bring someone with you for support during your interview. If you are a disabled or if you have any other accessibility requirements, please let your Housing Advisor know.

Your Housing Advisor will check that your application and circumstances are correct, as this could change the points you have been awarded. They will give information on all Housing Options that are available, and the likelihood of an offer based on your choices. This will give you the opportunity to adjust your preferences if needed to increase your chances of an offer.

Your advisor will prepare you for what will happen when an offer is made. This is to make sure you can manage your tenancy and are able to support yourself. We will discuss your financial circumstances and offer any advice which could improve your situation. This includes applying for any benefits you may be eligible for and tips on managing the income you already have.

It is important to keep your circumstances up to date so that you don’t miss out on an offer of housing. Please report any changes in your circumstances to your Housing Advisor as soon as possible, this includes details of where you are living and and your mobile phone number.
